IDOLATRY

I haven't studied very much about Roman Catholicism until this past summer. I have come to a conclusion that I have read enough.

I have seen with my own eyes, young adults kneeling before a graven image of Pope John Paul in prayer. Catholicism and it’s leaders teach people to commit the sin of idolatry. The worst part is a lot of them are precious little children. They are causing them to offend. People in this religion also bow the knee to statues and images of Mary, along with other saints. This is all heretical.

The New Testament is void of such use of graven images during worship or kneeling before them. Instead the bible strictly warns about usage of graven images, or bowing to them. Bowing is worship. You only bow down to what is being worshipped. We are supposed to bow down in our prayer closets to the Lord, not to a graven image of a pope.

Revelation 21:8... "idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."

Exodus 20:4-5 "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;"

Lev 26:1 "Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the LORD your God."

The Lord has commanded that this is not to be done. Roman Catholicism not only participates in this behavior, but encourages it. This group doesn't have the same Spirit of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. In Daniel chapter 3 they refused to bow the knee to a statute.

In Acts 14 when people compared Paul and Barnabas to gods, they cried out saying, we also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God.

People shouldn't bow the knee to an image, and not even an angel for that matter!

In the book of Revelation, the apostle John fell twice at the feet of the angel to worship him. Both times the angel told him "see thou do it not... I am thy fellow servant... worship God." Revelation 19:10, Revelation 22:9

Listen to how Catholics view the Pope:

"The Pope is not only the representative of Jesus Christ, he is Jesus Christ himself" -Catholic National July 1895.

The Bible says Luke 21:8 "And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them."

Luke 2:11 "For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord."

Worship is meant for the Lord alone. Using statues and pictures during worship is idolatry. Kneeling before graven images is sin. Adoration and veneration is meant for Jesus Christ ALONE. He is the one who took the nails for us!

WOMEN MINISTERS

It also appears (from the information that I have been given) that Cardinal Ratzinger was worshipping with a woman minister during a protestant church service. It appears that they were getting along quite well.

Women ministers are heretical, and heresy is sin.

1 Corinthians 14:33-37 "For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law. And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church. What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only? If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord."

These are the commandments of the Lord.

EVOLUTION

According to the Chicago Tribune Oct 25, 1996, Pope John Paul II proclaimed that the theory of evolution is "more than just a hypotheses," and that evolution is compatible with the Christian faith.

This is completely false. It is incompatible. Men were made in God’s image, not the image of apes. Please mark the teachings of this group and remember the Word’s of the Apostle Paul,…

1 Timothy 6:20-21 "O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called: Which some professing have erred concerning the faith."

People who buy into such notions are shipwrecking their faith.
