Held in Captivity
Thursday 11/16/06
Study passage: 2 Corinthians 10:5
Have you ever held something in captivity before, like a dog on a leash? Maybe you keep the cows captive in your barn, using barbed wire or by putting them in the barn. Some people are held captive in handcuffs by the police. When you hold something captive, it means to seize or to capture; To hold as one’s prisoner and not let go. Well, the bible teaches us that we are supposed to bring our every thought into the obedience of Christ Jesus. This means that we must be obedient in the things that we think about! We want to keep our minds filled with Spiritually healthy things. We want to change our way of thinking to God’s way of thinking, and God is perfect and Holy. Join us as we learn more.
