The Pharisees appeared outwardly beautiful unto men, but the state of their hearts was something very different. They were highly esteemed and respected men, but those who are highly esteemed among men are an abomination to God. If the world speaks highly of someone, it’s probably because they aren’t taking a stand for the bible. The world hated Jesus, it hated His followers, and it will hate those who take a stand for the way of Christ. If the world loves and adores you, then truly you have become God’s enemy.
