Roman Catholicism Pt. 3

Roman Catholicism Pt. 3

CELIBATE PRIESTS

Apparently, the Vatican has formally announced the excommunication of Archbishop Emmanuel Milingo, after the troubled African prelate ordained four married men as bishops.
.
A September 26 announcement from the Vatican press office noted that by ordaining bishops without the approval of the Holy See, Archbishop Milingo had incurred the automatic penalty of excommunication.
.
I’m not exactly sure the rest of the events that surrounded the reasoning for the excommunication of these men, but as far as the topic of ordaining married men, the bible teaches us that a bishop may be married. Anyone who teaches otherwise is causing people to feel as though they have sinned, when the HAVEN”T. They are also a false teacher.
.
It is not a sin for a bishop to be married. The Word of God doesn’t teach that, but Catholicism does! The Apostle Paul was single, but knew that he could get married if He wanted to. He wanted to be a bachelor, and that was his choice, as it is for a man to enter into Holy Matrimony.
.
That’s why he said in 1 Corinthians 9:5 "Have we not power to lead about a sister, a wife, as well as other apostles, and as the brethren of the Lord, and Cephas?"

In 1 Timothy 3:2 it says... "A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife"

It is permissible in the doctrines of the Lord for a bishop to be married, but not according to the doctrine of Catholicism.

Getting married is a good thing. That’s why it says in Proverbs 18:22

"Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD."

Getting married is a person’s choice, and obtains favor from Jesus. (Obviously I'm speaking about marriage between a man and a woman. Homosexuality is an ABOMINATION to God.)

A celibate priesthood is a doctrine of man, not of God. Of course, it’s always better to be a bachelor, but it’s no sin to be married and serving the Lord.

But remember the Word of God from 1 Timothy 4:1-3

"Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth."

Remember what to do with those who teach contrary things from God's Holy Word.

Romans 16:17-18 "Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple."

Keep separate!
