Study passage: 1 Thess 4:7-8

Did you know that when you take a shower, it can only cleanse you externally. It can only wash away the impurites that are on your skin. The Christian life is about going much deeper, into our hearts and extracting anything that is sinful. Sin is contrary to the very nature of God, and it's the reason why Adam and Eve were seperated from Him in the garden of Eden in the first place. When we become Christians, we need to depart from sin, to purify our hearts and mind, removing all the things that are displeasing to God. This is what sanctification is. We want to become sanctified so that we are prepared for God's coming Kingdom. Join us as we learn more.
