Today we are going to discuss repentance. Repentance has to do with turning away from sinful living and dedicating yourself to the amendment of one's life. Repentance is about taking a different course in your life, then the one you are currently on. It's taking a new direction. The direction that you take in your life today can have a profound effect on what happens in your life tommorrow. For example, if a person refuses to repent of a sin like drunkedness, there is a possibility that they may be out on the road tommorrow and end up killing themselves, or someone else. There are consequences both good and bad for the way that we live our lives. John the baptist told people to repent. We all need to turn from sin and focus ourselves on living Godly and Holy lives before our maker. Lives such as these are not only beneficial while here on the Earth, but also in the world to come.
